LASIK COORDINATOR: Mary DeTurk schedules all of Dr. Chesen’s refractive surgeries, including Lasik, PRK, Conductive Keratoplasty, and Epi-Lasik. She will help you through your entire refractive procedure, from the very first complimentary screening right up until the day of surgery. SURGICAL COORDINATOR: Our surgical coordinator has been scheduling Dr. Chesen’s cataract, glaucoma, and other surgeries for over 10 years. In addition to being an outstanding scheduler, she is also a licensed practical nurse and has worked in the medical field for 25 years. She will answer all your questions about the exciting new lenses for cataract patients, such as multifocal, toric, and aspheric . She may be reached at 610-372-2222 ext 15.
ADMINISTRATION: Our administrator joined the practice in 1991. While she is excited to witness the changes and growth over 17 years, she is most proud of what has not changed , and that is our constant commitment to excellence and promise to treat each and every patient individually and with special care. OPTICAL STAFF: Our opticans are here to see that you choose the very best glasses for your vision, taste, and budget. Together, they have 28 years of experience doing just that! Their dedication to providing unsurpassed service is exactly what our patients have come to expect over the years and what we feel they deserve. Our optical staff may be reached at 610-375-8347.
TECHNICAL STAFF: Our dedicated staff of ophthalmic technicians are trained to assist the doctors in screening patients prior to their examinations and also in administering tests which may have been ordered by your doctor. Our team is committed to being the most efficient, well-trained and compassionate technical staff each and every day. Together, they have 84 years of ophthalmic training and experience. Our team is proficient in all diagnostic testing at Chesen Laser Eye Center, including Wavescan, Corneal Topography, Fluorescein Angiography, Automated Visual Fields, Optical Coherence Topography (OCT), Heidelberg Retinal Tomography (HRT), AScan Ultrasound, Corneal Pachymetry, Tonometry and Autorefraction.
RECEPTIONISTS: Our talented receptionists are here to answer all your calls, schedule your appointments, and serve as the liaison between you and your doctor. They are the “welcome committee” for our practice and they do an outstanding job each and every day. Our four receptionists have a combined total of 50 years experience amongst them.
BILLING MANAGER: Our business manager has been taking excellent care of your insurance needs and filing your claims for over six years. We participate with almost all insurances, so this is a monumental task and it is one that she performs daily with patience and a smile. BUSINESS MANAGER: Our business manager is responsible for all the updating and ordering of supplies throughout the office. She also takes care of schedules, journals, deliveries, general office equipment maintenance, and banking. FILE MANAGER: Our filing manager has been with us for almost 11 years and has the important task of making certain that every chart is ready when a patient arrives and is filed when they leave. She also makes up new charts, purges old charts, copies records, and boxes charts for storage. Everything that is filed in a patient’s chart, including lab reports, letters, x-rays, etc. passes through this person’s hands before it arrives safely in a chart.
